SAMSUN MEETING

 

ANOTHER INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING MEETING WAS HELD IN SAMSUN

Istanbul, June 14, 2010

 

A delegation led by Mr. Hüseyin ERKAN, Chairman and CEO of the ISE, was in Samsun on June, 12, 2010 for a business visit involving an informative seminar for company executives and one-to-one meetings with companies in the scope of the "public offering campaign" activities.    The delegation, accompanied by representatives of the Capital Markets Board, visited Samsun Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and had exchange of information with the Chairmen and representatives of the Chamber.

 
In the framework of the said visit, a panel discussion with the theme "Initial Public Offering Process and Opportunities Offered to Companies by ISE" was organized on June 12, 2010. During the panel which attracted high attendance of businessmen and industrialists in Samsun, representatives of ISE, CMB and İş Yatırım provided detailed information about the initial public offering process and its benefits.

 

After the panel discussion, the ISE delegation visited the production facilities of some companies in Samsun, and held face-to-face meetings with senior executives.  Views of the industrialists and businessmen in Samsun with regards to funding via initial public offering were heard, and efforts were used to address concerns and lack of knowledge about public offering and trading of stocks on the ISE.
