DUZCE MEETING

ISE COMMUNICATED THE INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING PROCESS AND ITS BENEFITS TO THE COMPANIES IN DUZCE

A delegation led by Mr. Hüseyin ERKAN, Chairman and CEO of the ISE, was in Düzce on April, 12, 2010 for a business visit involving an informative seminar for company executives and one-to-one meetings with companies in the scope of the "public offering campaign" activities.    The delegation, accompanied by representatives of the Association of Industrialists and Businessmen of Düzce (DÜSİAD), visited Düzce Municipality, and conducted negotiations with Mr. İsmail Bayram, the Mayor. 
Mr. Bülent KILINÇ, Governor of Düzce, Mr. Celal ERBAY, AKP Düzce Deputy, Mr. İsmail Bayram, Mayor of Düzce, Mr. Metin Büyük, Chairman of the Executive Board of Düzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Eyüp ÇAKIR, Chairman of DÜSİAD, and members of DÜSİAD, gathered at lunch. 

 

In the framework of the said visit, a panel discussion with the theme "Initial Public Offering and Opportunities Offered by ISE" was organized with the contributions of DÜSİAD.  Keynote speeches of the panel discussion were delivered by Mr. Celal ERBAY, AKP Düzce Deputy, Mr. Hüseyin ERKAN, Chairman and CEO of ISE, Mr. Eyüp ÇAKIR, Chairman of the Executive Board of DÜSİAD, Mr. Emin S. ÇATANA, General Manager of Takasbank A.Ş., and Mr. Yusuf SERBEST Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council  of ISE. During the panel discussion, Dr. Esin Y. AKBULUT, Vice-chairman of ISE and Mr. Korhan ERYILMAZ, Manager of ISE Emerging Companies Market, delivered presentations. 

 

The ISE delegation also visited the production facilities of some companies in Düzce, and held face-to-face meetings with senior executives.  Views of the industrialists and businessmen in Düzce with regards to funding via initial public offering were heard, and efforts were used to address concerns and lack of knowledge about public offering and trading of stocks on the ISE.
